Meet Stuart - Sales Executive

• Why did you choose to work for MAN?

  I wanted to work for a well-respected marque within the commercial vehicle industry and MAN appeared to be the perfect fit for me (and I was right!).

• Describe what it’s like to work here in three words.

  Challenging, engaging, rewarding 

• What do you get up to in a typical week?

  Meetings with customers, suppliers and other departments. Providing detailed quotations, processing orders, and the best part (of course), handing over vehicles to our customers.

• What’s been your proudest moment at work?

  Gaining the trust of a large nationwide operator who didn’t buy any MAN products until I managed to get the first new truck onto the fleet, and seeing that grow from a small acorn to multiple orders annually.

• What makes someone successful here?

  Hard work, confidence and pride in the brand. 

• How have you and your career developed since you joined us?

  I joined as a Used Truck Sales Exec and within a couple of years progressed to selling both new and used vehicles.

• What’s the best thing about working for MAN?

  Being part of a huge global organisation and still feeling like you are integral to its success.

• What’s been your proudest moment outside of work?

  Same as everyone’s, I guess! The birth of my two children, watching my daughter travel the world and my son start and complete a technician’s apprenticeship with MAN in Newport.

• If you could invite 3 people to a dinner party, who would they be?

  Alan Sugar, Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk    

• Tell us something about yourself that might surprise us.

  I can solve a Rubiks cube in less than 10 seconds.

• What’s your favourite film?

  Snatch.

• What’s your signature dish?

  Fillet Steak with onions, mushrooms, white wine and mushroom sauce with a choice of potatoes.
