Working in Truck Sales

JOIN US AT THE HEART OF MAN

There are few other opportunities like these in the UK to be part of a proud team working directly in sales, for the manufacturer and with all the career potential being part of an international business offers.

Ours is the largest retail truck Sales team in the UK and it continues to grow, both as the industry does and supported by MAN with training and development on a national scale.

  • About the team

The largest of its kind in the UK, the MAN UK Sales Team sells to customers across the UK. The team is split across three regions, working together and learning from each other to ensure customers benefit from a sales experience that is consistently of a high standard.

  • What it’s like to work here

Wherever you join us in the UK, you’ll find a team ethos and benefit from programmes and campaigns designed to make your work easier and more effective. Our sales teams take pride in the exceptional range of products they offer and enjoy a positive, supportive working culture.

They’re also supported by their colleagues across the business and everyone benefits from the kind of big picture, holistic thinking that puts customer interests at the heart of everything we do, enabling us to get even better, every day.

  • Typical projects / tasks

Our Sales teams liaise with customers directly and are set clear targets and goals so that they can work in the most focused and effective way. They’re supported and enabled to use CRM tools properly and shown how to create clean, accurate market data that helps us all to work even better and smarter.

  • Rewards

The Truck Sales team enjoys a generous, innovative rewards scheme that is linked to performance, allowing them to share in the success they generate for the company. Sales team members, especially star performers, are also rewarded with events and trips to attractive destinations for them and their partner.

  • Our approach to learning

The team benefits from MAN’s belief in lifelong learning that begins with the Sales Apprentice scheme and continues with in-house training that touches on every aspect of the role, including process improvement, tools and systems, product features and benefits, and sales techniques.

In most cases, colleagues learn from colleagues as they have the best knowledge of MAN products and our marketplace.

  • Career pathways

The Sales team is structured into five tiers that you can progress and develop through, from Sales Apprentice to Executive, into Regional Fleet or other specialist, to Territory Sales Manager and Head of Sales. You’ll be supported and enabled to progress in line with your ambitions, potential and the opportunities.
