Describe what it’s like to work here in three words
Busy, rewarding, and interesting (every day is different).
-
What do you get up to in a typical week?
I’m not sure a typical week exists, its always different depending on numerous factors. I could be looking at a marketing plan and materials, reviewing pricing, liaising with suppliers, dealing with network queries, processing invoices or any number of other tasks.
-

Seeing the team grow. Having all our hard work and performance rewarded with the recognition that we need more resource to manage the continued growth in sales.
-
What makes someone successful here?
The ability to be flexible and nimble, to think outside the box to find solutions and ability to work together with colleagues across the business.
-
How have you and your career developed since you joined?
I only joined the business in February, but I have already had the opportunity to attend four training courses. Career development is encouraged at MAN.
-
What’s the best thing about working for MAN?
The comradery and the customer-first attitude, everyone wants to do a good job for the customers, and everyone helps each other out regardless of job role or rank.

What’s been your proudest moment outside of work?
Seeing my son pass his driving test, get a car and get a job. Seeing the man he has become makes me so proud and makes all those teenage years at war worth while
-
If you could invite 3 people to a dinner party, who would they be?
Amelia Earhart, Emmeline Pankhurst and my mum. Three truly inspiring women who prove you can do anything if you put your mind to it.
-

I love to dance & I belong to a local Ceroc dance club which I attend weekly.

A Little Princess (1995). The book was a favourite childhood book and I think they’ve done great job with turning it into a film and not losing too much of the detail.
