Meet Daniel - Strategic Account Manager
-
Why did you choose to work for MAN?
When I joined MAN, the organisation already had a strong reputation in the market for the manufacturing and supply of heavy goods vehicles but the light commercial vehicle side was still in its infancy. The prospect of being involved with something right from the early stages and to help establish and develop this area of the business was a huge determining factor for me when deciding to work for MAN.
-
Describe what it’s like to work here in three words.
Rewarding, Challenging & Varied.
-
What do you get up to in a typical week?
My working week typically consists of meetings with customers, prospects, colleagues and business partners about all manner of things from business development, planning & forecasting, future strategy and projects that drive innovation.
-
What’s been your proudest moment at work?
This would have to be when I placed the first MAN TGE within the NHS to operate as a front-line ambulance.
-
What makes someone successful here?
Being willing, passionate, honest and showing integrity will get you far.
-
How have you and your career developed since you joined us?
I have been very fortunate to be enrolled on the MAN Leadership Programme which helps develop a number of different aspects of employee leadership. This programme has given me a better understanding of what makes a good leader and how to apply this in the workplace, not just in a team environment but also in regard to cross department relationships.
-
What’s the best thing about working for MAN?
Being given the resources, time and autonomy to make a success of my role.
