We are looking for a customer focussed IT Support Engineer to join our team based in Swindon on a full time temporary basis (contract 6 months) looking after a network of 21 branches across the UK as well as the Support Centre just off junction 16 of the M4. The role is primarily office based at our Swindon headquarters although due to the ongoing pandemic you will also be expected to work from home.

You will be reporting to the IT Service Desk Manager the purpose of the role is to enable effective and safe use of IT & Communication systems within the company through the provision of end-user support and systems administration with an emphasis on excellent customer service. In order to perform in this role effectively, you will need to have good interpersonal & communication skills with a wide range of IT abilities, a strong and enthusiastic interest in IT and the application of it within a business. With an awareness and appreciation of IT security and GDPR legislation including having organisational and analytical skills. A previous role in first or second line IT support is expected and experience within a function supporting Microsoft client and server operating systems/office applications is essential. Proven experience in supporting with landline, VOIP & mobile telephony, printers/MFDs, LAN/WAN/VPN, Office365, email and internet applications would support your application. We are looking for someone to work on a contract basis initially for 6 months with the possibility to extend by mutual agreement thereafter.
