Meet Lee - Sales Executive

  • Why did you choose to work for MAN?

Having previously worked in the car industry, I was keen to expand my career in another sector of the automotive market. The truck world appealed to me, as did being part of a Global brand. Having the MAN Head Office in Swindon, which is my home town was a perfect fit.

  • Describe what it’s like to work here in three words.

    Engaging, rewarding and fulfilling.

  • What do you get up to in a typical week?

A typical week, if you can call it that in Sales, consists of consulting with existing and potential customers about their current and future transport/fleet requirements. Providing quotes for new vehicles, handing over new units to their proud new owners.

  • What’s been your proudest moment at work?

My proudest moments are ongoing. I’m proud of the relationships I’ve built with customers, our Business Partners and as importantly with my colleagues within MAN. It’s also a great privilege to be one of the people taking our product out to the market place.

  • What makes someone successful here?

A team player who has a willingness to learn, adapt and be successful.

  • How have you and your career developed since you joined us?

At a fast pace! Having not had any Truck knowledge before I started in 2016 to where I am today, I’ve surprised myself. Putting in a lot of effort and listening to the knowledge and experience of others in the business, I am able to speak confidently about all aspects of my role at MAN.

  • What’s the best thing about working for MAN?

There are many attractions to working at MAN which depend on your role within the company, but for me it’s about being part of a team that works to the same goals and the ability & opportunities to progress within the business.
